Scot Jones is entering his 22nd year at Heritage and his 3rd year as Senior Pastor, bringing a wealth of experience and an unshakeable passion for seeing lives transformed by the gospel. As a leader at Heritage, Scot is committed to guiding the church in its mission of making disciples and equipping believers to share the love of Christ. His ministry journey spans churches in Clinton, Columbus, Southaven, and Coldwater, Mississippi, and his global mission experience includes trips to Ukraine, Belgium, Cuba, and Jamaica, where he has seen firsthand the power of God’s work across cultures.

 

A graduate of Mississippi State University and Mid-America Seminary, Scot has also pursued further studies at Asbury Theological Seminary, deepening his theological foundation. At Heritage, he plays an active role in preaching, teaching, and overseeing the church’s administrative functions, always with the goal of fostering a community of faith where believers can grow, serve, and go out to make an impact in the world.

 

Scot’s greatest joy is his family. He is married to Leigh Ann, and together they are raising five wonderful boys: 21, 19, 18, 12, and 4. When he’s not preaching or leading, you can often find Scot enjoying time with his family, fishing, hunting, or simply soaking in the blessings of life. With a heart for ministry, a love for his family, and a deep commitment to Heritage, Scot is excited for all that God has in store in this new season of leadership and growth.
